Alexandria Pritchard is a solo violinist/violist and certified educator from Las Vegas, Nevada currently residing in New York, New York. Alexandria has received a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, (2018) and a Masters of Arts in Music Education from Hunter College in New York City where she graduated Magna Cum Laude (2020). In addition to her classical related studies, Alexandria also has an Irish traditional music concentration from the National University of Ireland, Galway.
Alexandria has performed with orchestras including the Radio City Orchestra, Las Vegas Philharmonic, Opera Las Vegas, Las Vegas Young Artists Orchestra, Columbia University Chorus, and The Asian Cultural Symphony Orchestra of the USA. With these orchestras as well as solo, Alexandria has graced some of the biggest performance halls around the world including Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall, and The Hollywood Bowl. She has also performed in many different places around the world including Poland, Germany, Canada, Ireland, Scotland, and numerous cities throughout the United States. Alexandria is currently a sub for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Broadway Sings, and founder of music for events business, Impulse Strings
In the entertainment field, Alexandria has performed at many high profile events such as The Super Bowl LVIII (2024), F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix (2024) The Latin Grammys (2016 & 2019), The Stellar Awards (2017 & 2018), and TED2018: The Age of Amazement . Other big named artists that Alexandria has performed alongside with include: Kygo, One Republic, Calum Scott, TLC, Bad Bunny, The Radio City Rockettes, The Chainsmokers, The Eagles, ELO, Amy Grant, Winona Oak, Drew Taggart, Alex Pall, Oliver Dragojević, Arturo Sandoval, Reik, Laura Pausini, Jj Hairston, and Travis Greene. She has also performed for musicals including The Bridges of Madison County (viola + violin), Sunday in The Park With George (violin), and In The Heights (keys).
As a recording artist, Alexandria has contributed to a number of projects. One favorite was for The Chainsmokers songs “Beach House,” “Kills You Slowly” and “Hope”, produced and directed by Sony Music, Sony ATV Publishing, and VEVO. Alexandria can also be found on several studio albums, including pop artist & songwriter Jillian Rossi on her single "Hurt Again"; Alternative band, The Dreamland Fire’s hit songs “Love Will Return” and “Whispers”; Alternative Folk musician Nali’s songs “Soledad” and “Viaje”; Vin A. and Friends song “Enough Is Enough” (written in memorial of the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting); and Las Vegas based Hip-Hop/Rap band, The Lique, song “Democrashy Manifesht”. Alexandria has also recorded promotional material for her New York-based group Impulse Strings.
Alexandria is a K-12 New York State certified teacher and holds a masters degree in Music Education. In addition to that Alexandria partners with Carnegie Hall's education program and, therefore, teaches their curriculum of Link up and Musical Explorers. She is currently a lead music teacher at a charter school in Queens, NY. Students of Alexandria’s have received “superior” score ratings at CCSD All State Competitions, as well as “superior” and “excellent” score ratings at Solo and Ensemble competitions. In the past, she has also been a coach to the students of the Las Vegas Young Artists Orchestra’s summer camps. Alexandria is a Dalcroze trained educator from the Lucy Moses School at Juilliard and likes to approach teaching music in a playful and experiential style. She has experience teaching private lessons, group classes, masterclasses, and K-12 Public school education. Alexandria can conform her teaching style to best suit her students age and needs to better bring out each individual student’s potential
